British Shorthair

The British Shorthair is a popular cat breed that originated in ancient Egypt. They are known for being friendly, calm, and easy to raise. They are also known for being sensitive to changes in their environment, so it's important to provide them with a calm and stable environment.

British Shorthairs are medium to large cats with short, plush, dense coats.

They come in solid colors, with or without white markings, tabby patterns, and Siamese patterns.

British shorthair is easy going and placid. The British is a fiercely loyal, loving cat and will attach herself to every one of her family members. While the British loves to play, she doesn't need hourly attention. If she is in the mood to play, she will find someone and bring a toy to that person.

The average lifespan of a British Shorthair cat is 12–20 years. They are generally healthy and hardy, with few genetic or common medical conditions.

Generally, British Shorthairs are a healthy breed. However, they are more prone to certain health issues, like hyperthyroidism and some congenital heart problems. There is also a small chance of kidney disease. While these are not curable, they are manageable with medication and won't impact your cat's quality of life.
