Our Cattery

About us

Cats have consistently infused our lives with a unique joy that my family cherishes deeply. Eager to share this happiness with others, we made the decision to breed Scottish Fold and British Shorthair cats. We offer them at prices below market value, providing those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the warmth, fluffiness, and affectionate nature of these delightful breeds, just as we do.

Kate LaBarbera

Owner

My name is Kate LaBarbera, and I am originally from Ukraine. Five years ago, my husband, our four children, and I made the journey to America. We now enjoy life on a small farm in upstate New York, where we cultivate a garden and raise chickens, kittens, and our little children.

In Ukraine, I earned my master's degree in biological engineering and technology, and I've always aspired to apply this knowledge to genetics in cats. Cats have consistently brought immense joy to my life and my family’s. We felt compelled to share this happiness with others, prompting us to start breeding Scottish Fold and British Shorthair cats. We offer them at below market value to provide an opportunity for those who might not otherwise have the chance to experience these warm, fuzzy, and affectionate breeds as we do. Although we do request a fair price and generate enough income to sustain our breeding efforts, it's not as much as one might assume. Our primary aim is to spread that joy.

Over the past few years, we've had the pleasure of welcoming people from around the globe to adopt our cats, even delivering them as far as Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If you've stumbled upon our site, you likely recognize the distinction between a barn cat and one of our exquisite purebred specialty cats. Given the unique nature of these breeds, we take exceptional care of them. From the time they're kittens, we nurture, love, and socialize them in our home, ensuring they are comfortable around humans and ready to find someone to cuddle with. However, there are important factors to consider when welcoming one of these special breeds into your home, and we would love to discuss those with you. Most of the time, our cats are pre-ordered, which is why we require a down payment. We cannot and will not release these adorable kittens before they reach eight weeks of age—not only due to legal requirements and their bond with their mother, but also out of our commitment to ensuring they are healthy when they become part of your family.
